Abstract

With the achievement of independence in Ukraine, problems of a national scale came to the fore. Education, in particular, special education, was not left out. It is research in the field of history of deaf pedagogy that is of greatest value, because it is the foundation on which it rests and without which it cannot exist. At the same time, knowledge of historical processes will contribute to the modernization and improvement of the special education system, educational inclusion of persons with special educational needs.
