Abstract
The dominant component of the physics education system at school is solving applied problems of various types, which can be effectively used at all stages of knowledge acquisition: during the development of interest, creative abilities and motivation of students, in the process of forming new knowledge, developing practical skills, with the aim of repeating , consolidation, systematization and generalization of what has been learned, quality control of assimilation of educational material or diagnosis of educational achievements, etc. It should be noted that in the conditions of competence-oriented training, it is important to carry out an appropriate selection of tasks, which would take into account the cognitive capabilities and inclinations of students, the level of their educational readiness, and develop abilities in accordance with educational needs. According to the requirements of the competence approach, such tasks should be closer to the real conditions of practical human activity, encourage the use of physical knowledge in various life situations.
