Abstract

The thesis presents the contribution to the Ukrainian national cause made by Mykhailo Petrovych Drahomanov; the participation of M. Drahomanov in the socio-political movement, his position on Ukrainian culture is shown; the educational ideas of Mykhailo Drahomanov for the Ukrainian pedagogical national school and the pedagogical thought of Ukraine are revealed. It has been proven that Mykhailo Petrovych Drahomanov belongs to the figures who entered our history as spiritual inspirers of the Ukrainian national, socio-political and cultural revival. It has been established that a prominent place in his legacy is occupied by works in which the development of Ukrainian education, school, culture and their interaction at various stages of the nation's national and political life are considered.
