Abstract
The monograph actualizes the problem of formation of professional value orientations, which are a source of personal and professional growth of education seekers. The content and structure of the concept of "students' professional and value orientations to work" have been clarified. The content of socio-professional personality development and professional-career self-determination is highlighted. The role of professional value orientations in professional self-determination and professional development of students is outlined. It has been proven that the development of vocational guidance technologies adapted to the individual and age characteristics of modern students is a condition for the formation of students' professional and value orientations to work. A list of methods for diagnosing the levels of formation of professional value orientations among students is presented, and the results of an empirical study of the formation of professional value orientations among students before work activities are highlighted. The essence of the pedagogical technology "Career Orientation Portfolio" is revealed. In general, the formation of professional and value orientations of students towards work requires purposeful support of the student in the educational environment, which will ensure an uncontroversial position in the further professional development of young people. Prospects for further research are outlined.
