Abstract
In the conditions of domestic post-graduate education, the professional development of a teacher of a professional (vocational and technical) education institution (hereafter ZP(PT)O) is a complex multi-level process, which includes the formation of a qualified specialist who goes through certain periods, in particular professional adaptation, gaining empirical experience, forming and improvement of pedagogical professionalism, creative self-expression and self-realization, pedagogical skills. An innovative technology for the continuous professional development of teaching staff in the post-graduate education system is scientific and methodological support, which allows to overcome the detachment of the course and post-course periods of professional development as a single andragogic cycle, to create differentiated conditions for the teacher to master the position of the subject of professional self-improvement and self-realization, assimilation of innovative professional roles and functions at the level of domestic and world standards. The creation of scientific and methodological support is a necessary pedagogical condition for the professional growth of a teacher.
