Abstract
In Ukraine, progress is being made towards international standards for providing assistance to children with hearing impairments, in 2021 mandatory neonatal hearing screening was legislated (Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 09.06.2021 No. 1144 "On approval of the procedure for hearing screening of children", effective from January 1, 2022), early intervention is gaining momentum, inclusive processes continue to unfold, the number of children receiving hearing aids with cochlear implantation systems is increasing. In particular, after the forced break, operations are planned at the Kolomiichenko Institute of Otolaryngology. Cochlear implantation centers of partner countries offer free assistance to Ukrainian children with hearing impairments, in particular, in Poland, children from Ukraine are offered diagnosis of the possibility of implant hearing aids, cochlear implantation surgery, including implantation in the second ear for users of one implant.
