Abstract
Тhe article focuses on the current tendencies of the uses of learning differentiation in different countries. It considers the differences and specifics pertaining to educational systems and institutions of different countries, particularly the language of teaching, state language, two or more state languages in certain countries, teaching in a native or the official language in Ukraine, secondary education institutions which provide instructions in several languages. The article enumerates and briefly describes the forms of education mentioned in the Law of Ukraine “On Education”: learning in educational institutions, realization of an individual form of education through pedagogical patronage or homeschooling, externship as a form of self education. It is emphasized that the leveling of the negative sides of learning differentiation on a territorial basis in Ukraine is conducted via the use of school buses and creating the joint classes; the statistical data on such joint classes is provided. The article provides different models of educational institutions peculiar to different countries, the data on the duration of complete general secondary education in different countries. It outlines the levels of complete general secondary education in Ukraine and the its cycles, describes the ways of acquiring primary, basic secondary education and vocational training, different kinds of educational institutions, respective negative aspects among which the reduction of degrees of educational institutions, reorganization of branch institutions, suspension of activities of educational institutions, destruction of general education institutions due to the Russian aggression in Ukraine can be named. It is mentioned that the possible differentiation of the secondary education institutions depends on their founder which justifies the existence of state, communal, private, corporate educational institutions. The article pays attention to the private secondary education institutions and includes relevant statistical data.
