Abstract

The article presents results of research which is carried out according to the thematic plan of research at the Department of vocational and higher education of the Central institute for postgraduate education of the University of Education Management (National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences) on the topic: «Transformation of professional development of teachers and research staff within the framework of an open postgraduate university» (state registration №РК 0120U104637). Author’s position justifies the need to implement more market-oriented approaches into the vocational education and training system, which creates preconditions for improved marketing activities in this sector and also requires the introduction of such definitions as social education service into the scientific analysis. Creation of a developed market of educational services in Ukraine and ensuring the competitiveness of an educational institution requires taking into account such factor ss globalization, technology and competition. The article postulates that the inevitability of transformation of education processes creates a set of challenges related to COVID-19 pandemic, specifically those triggered by the global quarantine measure and social and economic crisis. The development of the sphere of education services in Ukraine is viewed through the prism of changes created by the fourth industrial revolution, active introduction of digital education services and technologies. One of the important resources foe ensuring the competitiveness of education services is training and skills upgrading of teaching staff, the representatives of which can also serve as marketing agents of the institution as they improve the interaction with the clients of education services. The article identifies specific aspects of the technology for provision of education services, presents key components of quality vocational education and competitiveness indicators for education services.
