Abstract
Many Ukrainian children ended up in other countries because of the war and it became necessary for them to continue their studies. Different countries have developed their own approaches to solving this problem. Thus, by mid-June, 134,704 refugee students from Ukraine were admitted to German schools - including teachers who also fled the war. The federal states recruit teachers from Ukraine and hire them, yes, so far Brandenburg has hired 42 teachers and educational workers from Ukraine. Mostly, Ukrainian schoolchildren study together with schoolchildren from Germany, and not in separate classes. In a representative survey of teachers by the Robert Bosch Foundation, 78% of those whose schools have already accepted Ukrainian children or young people said that they were being taught either fully or partially in regular classrooms. Only 18 percent of those surveyed had lessons in separate so-called welcome classes.
