Abstract
The article presents an analytical review of normative documents, psychological and pedagogical, medical research in the context of the problem under study; the essence and features of the organization of barrier-free access to dental services for patients with special communication needs are analyzed, examples of appropriate devices are considered (transparent protective masks, «telemedicine», etc.). Based on theoretical analysis, the main aspects of barrier-free dental care for patients with hearing impairments are identified: legislative, economic, educational (development of educational and methodological support, training and retraining), practical (use of modern forms, methods, technologies), adaptive (accessibility) to quality dental services, adherence to the principles of «universal design», the introduction of adaptations and «reasonable accommodation», taking into account the individual needs of each patient). It is emphasized that special needs determine, first of all, the need to make adjustments in the process of providing services, planning and application of certain environmental adaptations. However, it is advisable to first provide a «universal design» of dental care, which includes variability (multiple ways and formats of care), adaptability (ability to change, adapt), flexibility (taking into account different needs, diversity) in providing services, use of modern equipment and technology, compliance accessibility standards. In order to study the opinion of experts, discuss psychological and organizational aspects of providing dental services to patients with hearing impairments (special needs), raise awareness on this issue developed and conducted open lectures-discussions «Dental Inclusive Toloka» on the Clubhouse platform.
