Abstract
The article analyzes the process of formation and implementation of socio-anthropological ideas of education and upbringing of the second half of the XIX century. The socio-anthropological ideas of education and upbringing in the understanding of M. Kotsyubynskyi are revealed. The statement of the problem is outlined, which meets the most important needs of modernity in the socio-cultural space of Ukraine, where taking into account the peculiarities of national roots and the processes of religious genesis becomes one of the factors of the effectiveness of state reforms, helps to adjust national politics and ethnopolitics, ensures the formation and development of the people's self-awareness, its national self-identification. Determination of the need to revive the national spiritual heritage and the role of the anthropological factor in the social process, in particular, actualization of the problem of man as the highest value, his mentality and identity. Revealing its deep archetypal foundations, those mental guidelines on which national traditions are based. It is determined that education as a social institution must respond to all changes occurring in society, and the philosophy of education, in turn, is the system that reflects on the educational system in its relationship with the cultural paradigm. It is outlined that the goal of reforming and modernizing education is to change it according to new anthropological guidelines and social changes. It is highlighted that at the current stage of social and political development of Ukraine, the national idea takes the form of a public project of a national scale, an integral part of which is a certain idea of the objective situation of the nation, its values and problems, as well as about national interests and goals and ways to achieve them. Attention is focused on anthropocentric ideas and a humanistic approach, which are traced in many works of M. Kotsyubynskyi. It is proved that the socio-anthropological ideas of education and upbringing in the scientific understanding of M. Kotsyubynskyi are, as a manifestation of the cultural and historical development of the uniqueness of the Ukrainian nation, education of national culture, national self-awareness. Ukrainian culture and populist positivism and normativity are shown from the writer's point of view, the emphasis is shifted from the objective realities of the environment to the inner ideal-spiritual world of human existence.
