Abstract
Relevance: the formation of a professional work environment in which a person during his professional activity will repeatedly change not only the place of work but also the profession, necessitates psychological and pedagogical support to train student youth for career choices. Aim: analysis of the array and dynamics of the dissertation researches flow on the problems of training young students to choose a professional career from the fund of the V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine; identification of specialties for which this problem is insufficiently covered in dissertation researches; identifying the contribution of researchers of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine to the scientific and methodological support of modernization and development of education in this area. Methods: theoretical; bibliographic and scientometric methods; quantitative analysis of the array and dynamics of the dissertation researches flow on the problems of training young students to choose and pursue a professional career on the grounds of "Branch of science, group of specialties, specialty" and "Protected in scientific institutions of NAES of Ukraine". Results: the search for dissertation researches on the problems of training young students for the choice and reali- zation of a professional career, defended in 1991–2021, carried out in the V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine, allowed to form a list of 137 works. Of these, 95 dissertation researches were defended in the field of education "Pedagogy", the rest – in the field of education "Psychology". Of the total number of dissertations, 14 were defended for the degree of "Doctor of Science". 76 dissertations (55.5% of the total number) were pre- pared and defended in the specialized scientific councils of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, including 10 out of 14 dissertations for the degree of "Doctor of Sciences". The maximum number of dissertations is defended in the specialties "Theory and Methodic of Vocational Education" (33), "Pedagogical and Age Psychology" (28) and "Theory and Methodic of Education" (24). Conclusions: the scientific institutions of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine have made a significant contribution to the scientific and methodological support of modernization and education reform in areas related to training of student youth for the choice and realization of a professional career. However, no dissertation researches have been identified in the field of Information and Communication Technologies in Education, which contradicts the global trend of using ICT in educational activities, including training young people for choosing and realization a professional career.
