Abstract

A historical and psychological analysis of the formation of image about the environment in personality development. There are five conditional chronological stages of this process. In the first stage, the environment is an objective fact, which is manifested on the material-natural and cultural-spiritual levels. The second stage, associated with the rapid development of pedology, is characterized primarily by the subjectivization of the environment as a social and everyday-subject levels of life of the individual. On the third there is a certain regression - the conscious avoidance or replacement of psychological content by objective-materialist within the framework of the prevailing ideology. The fourth stage in the formation of views on the environment is associated with the departure from classical determinism. It ceases to be perceived externally in relation to the individual, but becomes part of his mental life. On the other hand, the individual himself is aware of the active component of the environment. Since the last decade of the twentieth century, the problem of the environment comes to the forefront in Ukrainian psychological practice, which is due to significant social transformations in society.
