Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of identifying the peculiarities of the organization of professional development of scientific and pedagogical workers in Ukraine on the scientific level of higher education. The main tasks of the article: to analyse the legal and regulatory framework for the training of doctors of sciences in Ukraine; to identify peculiarities of the organization of professional development of scientific and pedagogical workers in Ukraine on the scientific level of higher education. The research used methods: method of content analysis of legal and regulatory framework and information of the sites of higher education institutions regarding the preparation of doctors of science; method of deduction to identify the peculiarities of the organization of professional development of scientific and pedagogical workers in Ukraine on the scientific level of higher education. The peculiarities of organization of professional development of scientific and pedagogical workers in Ukraine on the scientific level of higher education are revealed (refer of the training of doctors of sciences to the scientific level of higher education; realization the training of doctors of sciences at the scientific level of higher education without obtaining a license for this type of activity; establishment of increased requirements for scientific achievements of applicants for admission to doctoral studies; possibility of obtaining the degree of Doctor of Science by all categories of employees (scientific and pedagogical workers, scientific workers, etc.) through non-formal education; the absence of provisions in the legal and regulatory framework regarding: the need for standardization of training and its results for the scientific level of higher education; requirements for the formation of scientific programs for the training of doctors of sciences; preparation on the scientific level of higher education is not combined with practice). Prospects for further scientific research in this direction have been determined.
