Abstract
Relevance: Successful implementation in Ukraine of the system of quality assurance of professional training of future skilled workers in the context of dual education determines the need to study the European practice in maintaining the quality of vocational education and training. Aim: to analyze the quality system of vocational education and training of EU countries to formulate recommendations for its adaptation in the national system of vocational education, in particular in the dual form of education, to assurance its quality and borrowing the most successful foreign educational practices. Methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization ‒ for the study of legal documents, scientific literature; structural and functional analysis ‒ to determine the organizational and substantive features of the quality assurance system of vocational education and training of EU countries; structural and logical analysis ‒ to identify promising areas of development of the quality assurance system of the dual form of vocational education in Ukraine; comparative analysis ‒ to identify common and distinctive features in the quality assurance systems of dual education in the EU and Ukraine; generalization ‒ to formulate the conclusions of the study. Results: Based on the analysis of the features and mechanisms of the European vocational education and training system, as well as the principles and tools for ensuring its quality, recommendations for adapting and borrowing the most successful foreign educational practices to national vocational education, including training of future skilled workers in dual education. Conclusions: Analysis of the features and mechanisms of the European system of vocational education and training, as well as the principles and tools for ensuring its quality in order to improve the training of future skilled workers in dual education gives the opportunity to formulate recommendations on the need for: to develop normative documents for a clear division of responsibilities between all subjects of the vocational education system and their coordinated functioning; to use the European methodology to assurance its quality; to increase investments in the training of pedagogical staff of vocational education institutions and mentors for applicants at enterprises; to strengthen cooperation between vocational education institutions and employers and the development of regional networks of social partners by consensus; to strengthen the autonomy and independence of vocational education institutions in order to intensify cooperation between them, to respond quickly to employers' requests, to change and update educational programs.
