Abstract
Introduction. The article characterizes the connection between the leading global trends and the quality of the Ukrainian educational system focused on the training of competitive competent specialists of a new level; the content of the project activity is revealed and its content, requirements, sequence of actions are determined; the requirements to the development of competencies required for the implementation of educational and professional program are analyzed; the necessity of introduction of project activity in the educational process of professional higher education is revealed; the use of the method of assessing the quality of training is recommended; in the conditions of forced transition to online learning, organized online courses in disciplines based on the Moodle system are offered; the influence of project activity on the quality of college students training is clarified. Purpose. The aim of the article is to substantiate the feasibility of using project activities as a means of improving the quality of college students. Methods. Theoretical (induction, synthesis, generalization); empirical (study and analysis of legal documents in the field of professional higher education, educational and professional training programs for junior bachelors, the results of the activities of vocational higher education institutions) were used. Results. The connection between the leading global tendencies and the quality of the Ukrainian educational system focused on the training of competitive competent specialists of a new level is characterized; the content of the project activity is revealed and its content, requirements, sequence of actions are determined; the requirements to the development of competencies required for the implementation of educational and professional program are analyzed; the necessity of introduction of project activity in the educational process of vocational education is revealed; the use of the method of assessing the quality of training is recommended; in the conditions of forced transition to online learning, organized online courses in disciplines based on the Moodle system are offered; the influence of project activity on the quality of college students training is clarified. Conclusions. It is concluded that the use of projects in the educational process increases the efficiency and quality of knowledge acquisition by students, promotes the development of skills to work with information, analyze, systematize, summarize, draw conclusions, come up with ideas, find solutions, anticipate possible solutions, justify their own opinion, to find a compromise, to predict the results of their own activities. And the evaluation of the results of educational design by pedagogical workers gives an answer to the question: to what extent the professional training of specialists in institutions of vocational education is carried out.
