Abstract

The purpose of the article. The issue of didactic bases for the introduction of forms and methods of monitoring and evaluating the educational achievements of Primary School students under the conditions of the New Ukrainian school is considered. Methodology. Methods of systematic analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, state and regulatory documents on the problem of research; induction and deduction, abstraction and concretization, comparison were applied, which made it possible to reveal methodological and theoretical foundations, categorical apparatus of research. Scientific novelty. The author's vision of the essence and didactic characteristics of individual and group forms of control and methods of their implementation is proposed - pedagogical observation, oral survey, study of student works, programmed control, educational tasks, including test and competency-oriented, quests, educational projects. Scientific ideas about the control and evaluation of students' academic achievements as an integral component of the didactic education system are expanded: the conditions for the positive impact of control and evaluation activities on ensuring the effectiveness of primary school education are identified. Conclusions. The study allowed us to conclude that it is advisable to combine combine various forms, methods and means in the control and evaluation activities of participants in the educational process. This will allow identifying the dynamics of Primary School students’ development in a timely, reliable and comprehensive manner, increase students’ motivation and interest in learning, enriching the practice of teachers’ activities, and positively affecting the quality of educational services.
