Abstract

The concept of the model of multilingual education in general secondary education institutions of Ukraine with teaching of indigenous and national minorities is a methodological basis for creating scientific and methodological support for the process of forming multilingual competence of students as an important factor in their effectiveness in today's multilingual and multicultural world. The Concept presents a model of multilingual education in general secondary education institutions of Ukraine with instruction in the languages of indigenous peoples and national minorities; its components are characterized; scientific and methodological principles of its implementation are determined; the possible risks of applying the model and ways to overcome them are analyzed. The concept is intended for representatives of the pedagogical community: scientists, leaders, methodologists and teachers of general secondary education, teachers of higher education, students of pedagogical and philological faculties of higher education and all interested in the introduction of multilingual education in Ukraine.
