Abstract

Aim of the research. To analyze the main activities of the Librarianship Study Room of V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State scientific and pedagogical library of Ukraine of NAES of Ukraine during the period 2000–2020. The methodological basis of the study were the systemic, structurally functional, socio-communicative, socio-cultural, informational approaches. While working on the article, the following methods were used: statistical method for the collection, combination and presentation of data on the composition of the library collection of the Librarianship Study Room, participation of its specialists in scientific research, analysis, synthesis, generalization of data. The scientific novelty of the research consists in carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the activities of the library unit, where the information resource is concentrated on library science, bibliography, bibliology, document science and information activities. Results of the research. Established in 2000, the Librarianship Study Room of V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State scientific and pedagogical library of Ukraine continues to retain its place and plays an important role in the structure of the library. The main activities of its specialists during the analyzed period were researches in the field of library science, bibliography, bibliology, document science and information activities; reference and bibliographic and information support of scientific research of the library; organization of the library collection and the reference aids; library and information, reference and bibliographic services to users; monitoring of their information needs; monitoring of library information resources on the Internet; development of normative, instructive and methodical documents; preparation of information on personalities for the virtual information bibliographic resource «Outstanding Librarians, Bibliographers, Bibliologists, Documentalists of Ukraine and of the World»; development of corporate relations with specialists of educational libraries of Ukraine, etc.
