Abstract
In 2020, competency-oriented textbooks on the Ukrainian language and Reading by various authors were created, which included the methodological apparatus for the formation of cross-cutting educational lines, which stood out as a key component of the New Ukrainian School program. The analysis of textbooks for the 3rd grade showed that it contains questions and tasks for the formation of the following cross-cutting skills: reading comprehension; ability to express one's own opinion orally and in writing; creative skills; ability to constructively manage emotions; ability to solve problems, cooperate with others. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the methodological apparatus of textbooks for the third grade. Conclusions are made about the competitiveness of these textbooks in the context of blended learning.
