Abstract

In the context of historical research, the problem of the educational views of outstanding teachers is increasingly becoming relevant. Its preparation, moral face and urgent issues in the field of education and upbringing, which are put forward by the progressive intelligentsia throughout their lives, the training of professional teachers include the developments of many outstanding teachers and scientists of Ukraine. Such scientists include the figure of Panteleimon Aleksandrovich Kulish. It was he who defended the freedom of education and upbringing in Ukrainian schools; defended the ideas of humanity in the upbringing of children, promoting the democratic principles of public education. Valuable opinions and advice about the personality of a folk teacher in the work of an outstanding scientist, great educator, progressive and public figure in Ukraine are highlighted. It is revealed that the pedagogical views of the scientist played a huge role in the development of pedagogical thought in Ukraine, and the pedagogical ideas of the outstanding creator were and are the source of scientific creativity and practical activity.
