The strategy of sustainable development of Ukraine in the context of globalization is based on the ambitious goal of achieving European living standards and strengthening the authority of our state in the international arena. Achieve the goals is possible only on the basis of effective interaction of economics, science, education, involvement of innovative technologies in all spheres of society and progressive state and social processes. The present objectively requires the transfer of the educational process to a new technological level, the intensification of the search for promising innovative and pedagogical technologies aimed at the development and self-development of the individual. Rapid development of technological processes, IT-industry, robotics, nanotechnology leads to the need for specialists in high-tech industries capable of integrated research and engineering, so it is important to address the issue of providing quality education to students in technical disciplines - mathematics, physics, engineering, programming . Education must be advanced, in line with future trends in society, so special attention is paid today to STEM education. Implementing STEM is a way to help today's children become innovators, purposeful, creative and reliable members of the team, society and country tomorrow. For the past five years, STEM has confidently maintained its position among educational brands; attracts the attention of teachers, scientists, methodologists and other stakeholders; sprouts in all areas of education: from preschoolers to graduates of higher education; allows you to integrate different fields of science and subjects. STEM-education is based on interdisciplinary approaches in building curricula of different levels, individual didactic elements, to the study of phenomena and processes of the world, solving problem-oriented problems. For Ukraine, the development of STEM education is a priority and is supported and implemented through all types of education: formal, non-formal, informal. Implementation of the Concept of the New Ukrainian School, the introduction of STEM-education requires researchers, teachers to develop fundamentally new curricula that provide a reorientation of the educational process to activity and integrated approaches; actively use the latest teaching methods and tools with an emphasis on the development of research and invention competencies. In this regard, it is first of all necessary to pay more attention to the issues of quality training of scientific and pedagogical workers. Progressive ideas of new regulations in the field of improvement qualifications are necessary steps in empowering everyone and defining actions and mechanisms for organizing this newly created process. This solution diversifies the opportunities for professional development for teachers and allows everyone to create their own trajectory of professional growth throughout life. Within the framework of cooperation, regional institutions of postgraduate pedagogical education, other educational domestic and international organizations, the public sector, experts can offer new, often better, solutions for professional growth.
