Abstract
The article actualizes the problem of effective professional self-determination of students (a phenomenon due to which the subjective essence of a person, his active active principle, willingness to voluntarily take responsibility for the choice being made) is manifested. It is revealed that the basis of professional self-determination is values based on the needs of the individual, which are embodied in professional interests, and, accordingly, express a selective-value attitude towards certain objects. It is concluded that selfdetermination of students is characterized by the appropriation of certain values and their awareness as their own on the basis of self-knowledge and the embodiment of these values in certain types of activities. Based on the coverage of the results of an empirical study of the individual characteristics of the process of professional self-determination of high school students, the urgency of creating a vocational guidance technology for the determination of the internal processes of a person, aimed at the formation of readiness for an effective choice of a future profession, is substantiated. It is emphasized that the development of vocational guidance technology should be based on the actualization of the value sphere of the individual. After all, value orientations, on the one hand, are the most important elements of the internal structure of a person, which form its stability in relation to their requirements, needs, interests, interests. On the other hand, each professional activity is connected to a certain extent with the requirements for the value orientations of the individual, and is also an environment for the realization of the needs of the individual. Accordingly, the choice of the future sphere of professional activity is the embodiment of the image of the desired future person. Thus, the choice of the directions of the life path, the main vectors of self-realization of the individual is, first of all, the choice of the dominant life values.
