Abstract
The urgency of the problem. The tasks defined by the state normative acts on reforming general secondary education determine the introduction of supervision programs according to «New Ukrainian School» concept. Supervision as a tool for teachers’ professional development and a component of NUS management will ensure the implementation of tasks for educational and methodological support of continuous teachers’ professional development in general secondary education and the development of a democratic model of educational institutions management. Analysis of previous research. The issue of the general content of supervision and its importance in the practical training of specialists, primarily related to the provision of psychological, sociological and pedagogical services, was analyzed in the works of domestic (S. Arkhipova, N. Gaiduk, Y. Zaporozhtseva, V. Isachenko, N. Klokar, O. Nikulochkina, Y. Oleksin, S. Stavkova, O. Yakubovskaya) and foreign researchers (A. Brown, A. Bourne, L. Voronin, S. Zhitvay, A. Zhukov, R. Kornyushina, L. Moiseeva, M. Ponomarenko). The presentation of the main material. The implementation of «New Ukrainian School» concept has posed a new challenge to the system of general secondary education. It is the need to introduce the institute of educational coaches and innovative forms of developing the teachers’ professional competence in the context of postgraduate education. Supervision is new in Ukrainian education within this issue. Pedagogical supervision is one of the unique tools in mentoring for professional support and development, a set of measures for educational and methodological support of educational institutions teachers. Defined principles (voluntariness; humanism and anthropocentrism; openness; confidentiality; objectivity; partnership; individual approach; responsibility; predictability; reflexivity; developmental nature; reliability and validity of measuring results), types (educational, mentoring, managerial, consulting), forms and methods of supervision in the context of consideration of such a tool as the technology of postgraduate education introduced in the activities of the Poltava Regional School of innovation of managers, research and teaching staff. The experience of such work has shown the acquisition of new and improvement of the previously acquired competencies of employees and increase the level of employment of managers and teachers of general secondary education. Conclusions from the study. The introduction of supervision programs according to «New Ukrainian School» concept in the activities of educational institutions will promote teachers’ professional development, their innovative development and increase competitiveness. This complex type of activity increses requerements to the participants of the supervision process, so before its widespread implementation it is necessary to deeply understand its role and content, the essence of supervision as a technology of teachers’ postgraduate education in the NUS reform.
