Abstract

The monograph's section reviews the historical aspects of the formation of defectology as a science in Ukraine. Namely the formation of the educational system for defectologists in Ukraine, peculiarities of the formation of specialized education in the post-war period, the development of institutions of higher education in Ukraine after 1991, tendencies of training the teaching staff for the system of specialized education in Ukraine at the present stage.
