Abstract

The abstracts briefly describe the main aspects of enriching the vocabulary of the Ukrainian language for students in grades 3-4 with instruction in the languages of national minorities on the basis of the competence approach. It is emphasized that learning new words requires complex work, which involves their perception, pronunciation, memorization and use. It is important and expedient to take into account the differences in the appropriate method of enriching the dictionary of the Ukrainian language as a second and native language. It is common to take into account age and individual students. The positive results of the methodology implementation are listed.
