Abstract
Modernization of the national education and science of Ukraine, in particular the development of a new Ukrainian school, should ensure the preservation and dissemination of the spiritual heritage of the Ukrainian people. In this context, it is important to find and apply new approaches to the organization of the educational process in school and update the content of education in order to form students' national identity, development of their personality based on universal values and cultural and historical experience of the Ukrainian people.
