Abstract
The textbook "Children with special educational needs in the general educational space" (authors: Yarmola N.A., Koval-Bardash L,V., Kompanets N.M., Kvitka N.O., Lapin A.V.) discusses the basic theoretical principles of general and specific patterns of development of children with disabilities, highlights the special educational needs in the field of development, reveals the features of correctional support of these children in educational institutions. The manual describes the features of the functional-competence approach to determining the special educational needs of the child in the context of inclusive education, provides practical recommendations for working with children with SEN for both teachers and teacher assistants. The manual is addressed to specialists of special institutions of general secondary education and institutions with inclusive education, scientists, teachers and students of higher education institutions; parents, all interested in the problems of modern special pedagogy and psychology.
