Abstract

The article reveals the psychological content of the phenomenon of hardiness, its main structural components, levels of existence and leading characteristics. The main predictors and mechanisms of hardiness formation are considered. The influence of hardiness on other features of the psyche is revealed. Emphasis is placed on the moral and psychological component of hardiness. The main functions of hardiness are determined, its importance in the development of a teenage personality is analyzed. Hardiness is presented as a personal resource that promotes positive self-attitudes, leadership development, sense of purpose and endurance. It is an important factor in self-determination, adaptation and inner balance. The main psychological feature of hardiness is that it helps to minimize the negative consequences of unfavourable external influences and turn them into new opportunities, to gain autonomy in life. The article describes adolescence as one of the most important stages of ontogenetic development, during which life attitudes and value orientations of the individual are formed. The concept of the educational environment is revealed as an integral educational space that combines sociocultural and socio-natural factors, helping to show the individuality of each of its participants. Its important role in the development of the adolescent, in particular, the formation of his hardiness is emphasized. It is revealed that upbringing and training determine what kind of personality will be, how he will be realized, what level of culture and moral norms he will learn. It is noted that the reform of the modern education system will improve the quality of the educational environment and will lead to the effective involvement of the personality of an adolescent in cultural and social interaction, will allow for the purposeful formation of his hardiness.
