Abstract
The authors of the review article have analyzed and clarified the essence of andragogical competence of pedagogical staff in the field of adult education. The relevance of the researched problem and the expediency of its consideration in the context of professionalization of adult education are substantiated. It is proved that the andragogical competence of pedagogical staff should be interpreted as an important component of their professional competence. The author's definition of the andragogical competence of pedagogical staff in the field of adult education is presented. According to the structure of andragogical competence, the criteria and indicators of its formation are determined. Four components and corresponding criteria of formation of andragogical competence of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers are characterized: value-motivational component (criterion is motivational-axiological), cognitive-semantic component (criterion is cognitive-informational), reflexive-evaluative component (criterion is evaluative), operational and activity component (criterion is procedural and technological). It is emphasized that the formation of andragogical competence of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers is one of the most important conditions for ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process in the institutions of formal and non-formal adult education. There has been substantiated the expediency of formation and development of the andragogical competence of pedagogues in traditional, distant and mixed formats in the conditions of formal and non-formal education. The urgency of professional training of the pedagogical staff in the field of adult education in Ukraine, as well as the expediency of promoting successful practices of professionalization of andragogues in foreign and national educational space are proved in the article.
