Abstract

Groups of reading skills of primary school graduates are analyzed, which provide relative completeness of students' understanding of artistic and informational texts; readiness to move from learning to read to reading in primary school. A number of difficulties in reading for 4th grade students are substantiated, and substantiated explanations of their origin are given.
