Abstract
It is stated that innovations in education are considered by the world community as a prerequisite for advanced development of countries. This prioritizes the study of the essence of innovations in terms of terminological accents as well as views on the format of their production in education at different levels. It is revealed that according to the vision of the European Commission, the common characteristics of the vision of the phenomenon of innovation by different stakeholders are the aspect of novelty (practices that are new in a particular context or differ from those commonly used); and the potential effectiveness of these new practices or activities (i.e., new pedagogies or practices should lead to positive student development outcomes).
