Abstract
The article is devoted to the main aspects of the implementation of integrated training in vocational education institutions on the basis of the competence approach. The introduction of integrated training in the educational process of vocational education institutions is an attempt to give students a general, holistic view of the world around them, to try to increase their mental activity. Combining knowledge from different disciplines makes it possible to achieve a comprehensive consideration of phenomena, to show the relationship of processes, to intensively develop in students the ability to analyze, compare and summarize the acquired knowledge. It is important to act in three areas of integration during the implementation of integration processes in the system of vocational education: general science, interdisciplinary, intradisciplinary. In the general scientific direction, integration horizontal connections take place in all cycles of training skilled workers: general education, general professional and professional (professional-theoretical and professional-practical). The interdisciplinary direction of integration of the content of vocational education presupposes integrity, system vision of students of the studied production. Intradisciplinary direction of integration of the content of vocational education is characterized by a systematic transition from the general patterns of integration processes in education to partial, methodical. An important area of integration in the system of vocational education is the integration of science and production, which contributes to the growth of technical, technological, organizational levels of production, requires an expansion of the theoretical knowledge base of specialists. The integration of theoretical and industrial training provides training of specialists in integrated professions, which satisfies the requirement to expand the professional functions of specialists in modern production.
