Reforms of Ukrainian education are being implemented considering the framework of the Bologna Process, which aims at shifting to competency-based education. Thus, the competency-based approach is declared to be the principal one in modernization of Ukrainian education system. The main purpose of the national higher education system is to prepare a specialist who has acquired a certain amount of knowledge and can effectively apply it.
