Abstract
Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences in the speciality 13.00.05 – Social Pedagogy. – Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2021. In the dissertation, theoretical generalization and the scientific solution to the problem of social formation of pupils of 8-11 classes in complex out-of-school educational institutions have been carried out. Theoretical analysis of the problem of social formation of personality in the field of social pedagogy on the basis of ideas of axiological, systemic, culturological, phenomenological, existential methodological approaches was conducted; The theoretical foundations of social formation of personality (philosophical, sociological, psychological, socio-pedagogical interpretation) were determined. The essence of the concept of «social formation of personality» (in relation to adolescents, high school students) as a cultural and historical reproduction of the individual as a person was specified; formation of personality as a subject of social relations and social activity, which embodies the most important socially significant properties: awareness of norms and rules of social behavior, learning social roles, social position (system of attitudes to social processes, other people, themselves as a member of society), ability to design themselves for the future, the focus on self-realization in social activities, social skills; the structure of this phenomenon (cognitive, emotionally-valuable, component of arbitrary impulse, behavioral-practical and self- value components). According to the results of comparative analysis of conceptual bases, goals and values of out-of-school education of Ukraine and non-formal education of children and youth of other European countries the following has been determined: common positions of conceptual bases: based on ideals of democracy and humanism, freedom and equality; is part of the concept of long life education; promotes lifelong learning; carried out in free time, which is considered as an important and specific educational sphere of children, youth and adults, etc.; goals and values: democratic, social and cultural development, participation of children and youth in public life, protection of heritage and environment (EAICY); creating conditions for leadership, communication, language learning, teamwork skills, learning social roles and more. The social and pedagogical potential of complex out-of-school education institutions in the social formation of students was substantiated, which contains components: regulatory; theoretical and conceptual; value-targeted; organizational and pedagogical; activity (components of activity: social education; social training; organizational and mass work, cultural and leisure activities; rehabilitation of children and youth, nurturing of healthy lifestyle values; social and pedagogical support and social protection of pupils; social prevention; coordination of educational and socio-pedagogical work in a social environment). Criteria of social formation of pupils of 8-11 classes, levels (high (prosocial), average (neutral), below average, low (asocial) were defined; the state of the problem of educational practice was determined. The current state and features of socio-pedagogical activities of out-of-school educational institutions with children of different social groups in their social formation were characterized (areas: social and pedagogical support for students of vulnerable groups; social and pedagogical prevention in out-of-school education; social rehabilitation of children and students with SEN, creation of inclusive educational environment in out-of-school education; social and pedagogical support of gifted students). On the basis of theoretically substantiated conceptual bases of social formation of pupils of 8-11 classes in out-of-school education establishments the technology of social and pedagogical support of social formation of pupils (senior teenagers, senior pupils) of out-of-school educational establishments was developed and tested. The introduction of the results and materials of the research in the training of future specialists in the social sphere is presented. In particular, the following was developed and tested: syllabus and curriculum of the discipline «Social Pedagogy» (for higher education institutions); curricula of disciplines «Innovations in social work», «Social development of the individual in the system of non-formal education» (for the training of doctors of philosophy in the educational program «Social work with children and youth»).
