Abstract

The article deals with this type of social activity as social work, which aims to perform a number of extremely important tasks, among which the main ones are improving the social well-being of a person. The principles of pedagogical education of parents are covered. Emphasis is placed on the issues that most concern parents and family members in family upbringing, namely, difficulties in behavior, communication, the child’s readiness for school, her education, hyperactivity, and neuroses. In the article the author pays special attention to the factors influencing the upbringing of the younger generation: employment of parents, financial status of the family, living conditions, age and education of parents, their outlook, general and pedagogical culture, lack of relevant pedagogical knowledge in a considerable amount of pedagogical knowledge. family members, the inability (and even unwillingness) of some parents to know their child. The levels of readiness of parents, family members to receive non-formal pedagogical education (low, medium and high) through analysis of interviews and questionnaires were highlighted and characterized. The information about seminars for parents and family members at the preschool education institution No. 398 in Kyiv and forms of interaction with parents and family members – individual, group and mass – used by the pedagogical team and the director in social and pedagogical work are covered. The author emphasizes the importance of promoting the organization of pedagogical education and education of parents and family members for the importance of their role in the upbringing of children
