Abstract

It is noted that experience is an important resource for self-development and self-knowledge of a person. The mastery of experience is a necessary condition for its ontological safety and mental well-being; it is given to a person retrospectively through the creation of narratives. This “sideways” view (S. Žižek), a third-person view of oneself as an ontological construction. This is a necessary condition for constructing a person as a subject of his own life.
