Abstract
Starting from March 2020, Ukraine has faced another global challenge - the COVID-19 pandemic. According to International Education Secretary-General David Edwards, a total of 1.6 billion students worldwide have been affected by the closure of educational institutions for quarantine. At the same time, about a third of students (463 million children) were not able to study remotely in the first months of the pandemic. During this period in Ukraine the problems became especially noticeable: 1) equal opportunities for access and use of the Internet and ICT for educational purposes; 2) readiness of teachers for remote work; 3) readiness of subjects of learning for distance education; 4) technical and financial capabilities of educational institutions and research institutions to provide teachers with the necessary equipment for remote work and surcharges for excessive workload in unpredictable quarantine conditions.
