Abstract
The article considers a methodical approach to the use of project training in institutions of professional (vocational and technical) education of agricultural profile. It is substantiated that its purpose is to create appropriate conditions under which applicants for education: independently obtain the necessary knowledge from different sources; learn to use the acquired knowledge to solve cognitive and practical problems of agricultural orientation; acquire communication skills by working in different groups; develop their own research skills (identification of existing issues, collection of information, observation, experiment, analysis, construction of hypotheses, generalization of the results of the project) develop systems thinking. In the process of creating a project, applicants for education, who are in search of the necessary information, working in a group, acquire the following personality traits: sociability, determination, entrepreneurship, awareness. At the same time, the integration of knowledge from many subjects is very clearly traced. The end product of this activity is projects that can be implemented in real life. It is substantiated that applying project technologies in the process of training future specialists in the agricultural profile, their key competencies are formed, such as research, communication, general education, environmental. It is noted that the project activities of the agricultural profile should be aimed at the development and education of future professionals capable of mastering labor and technological knowledge and skills for the transformation and use of natural objects, materials, energy, information needed to create products in accordance with their intended consumer properties; skills to navigate in the world of professions, to assess their professional interests and abilities for the considered types of work, to make life and professional plans; independent planning and management, for example, homesteading; formation of a culture of work, respect for work and its results.
