Abstract

The paper presents information about the program "Safe Space" and a set of educational materials for its provision. The program was developed by specialists of the Center for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" in cooperation with experts from the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. The program was created in accordance with the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the financial support of international organizations UNICEF (Ukraine), Caritas (Ukraine), Porticus. This is a multilevel model of psychosocial support in general secondary education institutions "Safe Space", which is based on a number of evidentiary interventions at different levels. The program was tested in eastern Ukraine near the line of contact during 2015-2020. The effectiveness of some components of the program has been confirmed by a number of studies, including their use to provide psychosocial assistance to students affected by military conflict. A number of scientific and methodological materials for teachers and practical psychologists of the program were recommended for implementation in the system of In-Service Teacher Trainers Institutes of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.
