Abstract

The Draft Science Education Curriculum for Specialized Schools is a normative document representing a set of educational components for achieving the learning outcomes specified in the state educational standards of Ukraine. This document provides a basis for integration processes between formal and non-formal education, provides an opportunity for interaction of different types of educational institutions and institutions that can provide educational services. It contributes to the creation of optimal conditions for the implementation of Science Education and the development of an integrated educational space of relevant educational institutions. The key goal of thе Science Education Curriculum is the development of research competence through the involvement of specialized secondary school students in research, design, invention and exploration activities in accordance with the Standard of Specialized Science Education. The Draft Science Education Curriculum for Specialized Schools is developed on the basis of modern state educational policy and strategy of reforming the education system of Ukraine. It is an open, dynamic resource intended for creative teachers and pedagogical communities who have joined the innovative activity on development of Science Education.
