Abstract

The theses show that, in accordance with the requirements of the time, a modern general education school teacher should be ready not only for professional and pedagogical activities with ordinary students, but also for correctional and pedagogical work with children with special educational needs. It has been proven that the approach to the training of qualified specialists has changed. Today, the role of a higher education institution is not only to transfer the knowledge, skills and abilities of students, but also to acquire the necessary competencies to work with children with special needs in special educational institutions and inclusive space.
