Abstract
The paper establishes some features of activity-based approach application within the general methodology of researching into the problem of pre-university physico-mathematical training of senior pupils for their studies at a technical university. An inference has been made about the correlation between the motives, needs, and purpose of the activity as factors that guide the pre-university training of senior pupils. The peculiarities of activity-based approach application to the investigation of the problem of physico-mathematical training of senior pupils are analyzed at the level of different kinds of activities (learning, cognitive, learning-cognitive (educational), experimental, and practical transformation activities).
