Abstract

The paper deals with age peculiarities of senior students in terms of developmental and educational psychology. Reasons are given for the age peculiarities of senior students as a factor of their physico-mathematical background and preparation for studying at an engineering university. The relation between the age peculiarities of senior pupils and the possibilities of vocational guidance at a comprehensive school is established in the paper. It is concluded that seniors pupils’ age-related peculiarities determine the development of habits concerning the research activity in the sphere of physico-mathematical disciplines.
