Abstract
A concept of methodological support of physic-mathematical training of senior pupils for their studies at a technical university is justified. The concept is based on the competency-and-action approach that provides continuity between different levels of education. Kinds of pre-university training competences have been defined (as pre-professional ones) that integrate high school competences (cultural and fundamental ones) and graduate school competences (instructional, quasi-professional ones) on the principles of continuity and adaptation of senior pupils to professional training. Taking account of the purposes of physic-mathematical training of senior pupils for their studies at a technical university, pre-professional competences have been established and their functions – continuity, propaedeutics, and adaptation – have been identified.
