Abstract
The thesis notes the need to improve literary education in the context of the formation of the New Ukrainian School. One of the directions of this transformation is the introduction of a model of multilingual education in general secondary education institutions with the teaching of national minority languages. Peculiarities of using the comparative method in the conditions of realization of the model of multilingual education are considered; exercises, while updated: analytical-reflexive exercises, conditioned-communicative and creative communicatively oriented exercises. The principle of reliance on the native language and receptive technology based on the comparative method are characterized.
