Abstract
The theses outline the problem of preparing future teachers for the effective use of digital technologies in schools. It is concluded that in the context of European approaches, digital competence of teachers is seen not only as knowledge and ability to use devices and programs, but also understanding legal and ethical aspects, confidentiality and security, the role of ICT in society and a balanced attitude to technology.
