Abstract

The thesis highlights the role of the textbook as a tool for preparing high school students for certification assessment, in particular, the state final certification in the form of external independent assessment. Modern textbooks of geography, physics and history of Ukraine for 9th grade as to the possibilities of their content, methodological apparatus, structure and form of exercises and tasks for control and self-control in the preparation of high school students for final certification in the form of external independent assessment have been analyzed.
