Abstract

The publication focuses on the development of state historical policy and directions of its implementation. It has been proven that one of them is school history education, which needs to be reformed in accordance with modern challenges and needs of civil society. It is emphasized the need to eliminate existing contradictions and inconsistencies in the content of the subject "History of Ukraine". The necessity of introduction of the integrated school course of history is substantiated.
