Abstract

The main strategies of psychological support for children with special needs given the crisis processes arising with the introduction of quarantine in the country caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are outlined in the report. The problems related to the psychological support for families of children with special needs are considered: the lack of distance models of psychological and pedagogical support for such families; the need to coordinate activities for specialists on organizational and methodological issues of providing assistance for children and their families, etc. Given that the developed by Mykola Yarmachenko Institute of Special Pedagogy and Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine models of complex psychological support for families of children with special needs in crisis situations and methodological developments are presented. They will allow the use of not only counseling but also psychocorrectional and psychotherapeutic methods and procedures.
